Every year, a cover theme is chosen for regional co-bound and White Pages metropolitan directories. The Covers Program is an opportunity to recognise members of the community who’ve made an impact in their particular field.

Lismore fundraising champion Rebekka Battista is set to become a familiar face in the region, after being selected to appear on the cover of this year’s Lismore White Pages® and Yellow Pages®.

Rebekka is recognised under the theme, Keeping Our Communities Healthy, as fundraising coordinator of two local charities making improvements to medical equipment and accommodation at the Lismore Base Hospital.

In 2003, Rebekka joined local charity Our Kids after her son Isaak was born with renal failure. Motivated to help other sick children, Rebekka has raised almost $1 million for the charity via fun runs and lunches, funding the purchase of paediatric medical equipment for Lismore Base Hospital. 

As fundraising coordinator, Rebekka has also helped fund community grants benefiting local families with special needs children.

In 2004, Rebekka took a lead role in Our House, a project that provides low-cost accommodation for families...
